Description:
Use a torsion bar when there is excessive 'shimmy' in the window when opening and closing. The torsion bar makes the forces more even when opening and closing the window. Recommended for any window large enough to accomodate at torsion bar providing the operator is a single pull awning style.

Recommended Screws:



For wood window applications: 4 #8 X 1 in Flat-head sheet wood screws.*

For PVC/Metal: 4 #8 Flat-head sheet metal screws (length and thread to be determined by the sash material).*

Stainless steel screws required for stainless steel sash hook appliactions.

* The outer two screws will not screw the torsion bar flush with the window sash - a small gap will remain. This is normal for torsion bars.
